Sixes and Sevens

My life in England told through music, photos and posts

Edinburgh - inspiring capital.

Hello everyone!

Arrived in edinburgh today after quite a long day of driving and shopping. We ended up at the house of bruar which is much like a scotsman’s holt renfrew. It was very impressive and exorbitantly priced but overall, a fun experience.

I purchased my first real blazer (I figure I will most likely need one if I am going to be living in england) in addition to some other really nice wool garments. Cashmere, for whatever reason, is really cheap. It may have something to do with the 3 million sheep we have seen thus far but I can’t be certain…

The last place in inverness was gorgeous. We had state rooms with lounges, flat screens and bidets (this is when you know the place is classy). I met some relatives-by-law the other day who were so welcoming and engaging…if the english are anything like this I may have a hard time leaving. The drive was ok but BBC is absolutely horrendous to listen to - especially the scottish talk radio version so I have been relying on the tried and true classics of my ipod to get me through the highlands. Some current listening favourites are:

Until the next time I get the chance to post, take care of yourselves and enjoy the tunes. Please also drop me a line on facebook and let me know how you like the blog (I’m not so tech savvy yet as to be able to allow commenting - all good things with time).

Cheers!
